Years ago I read an edition of Naked Lunch that had an appendix of almost 100 pages collecting reviews and shocked responses to the book from the literature section of a major US newspaper - I have to say it was almost more interesting than the book itself!

Crime and Punishment - a pathological yet melodramatic examination of morality, perhaps a bit over-rated at the expense on his other more complex works.
